Report a factual error through the contact page with the article URL, the exact passage and reliable supporting evidence. For a visual issue, identify the image and explain the mismatch. Do not include unnecessary personal information.
We review the evidence and correct material errors. A substantial change is explained in a correction or update note, with the original publication time retained where available. Routine spelling or formatting fixes may not require a separate note.
A developing report may change when new evidence arrives; an update is not automatically an admission that earlier reporting was false. Withdrawal or removal is considered when accuracy, rights, privacy or safety requires it. For a broader fairness concern, use the complaints process.
